October 30, 2017

To celebrate our 1 year anniversary and our Member Appreciation Month, we will be highlighting our members in our new Membership Spotlight Interview Blog!

Ra'teesha began at 2 Tone Boxing Club 1 year ago as one of our very first members!  Since then we have watched her punches get stronger and confidence increase with each passing class.  We couldn't ask for a better member to highlight in our first member spotlight post!

What made you want to start at 2 Tone, and what keeps you coming back?

R-I've always wanted to try boxing so when I heard about 2 Tone's Grand opening via Facebook I decided to give it a shot and I've been going every since. I keep coming back because I love everything about 2 Tone! Honestly the trainers are great, they make everyone feel awesome, and they're always encouraging no matter your ability level!

What were some of your fears or concerns when you first started?

R-I feared I would stick out like an odd ball in the class because I didn't know what I was doing but this was not the case at all. I'm so happy I did not let my fear stop me!

What has been the best experience you have had at 2 Tone Boxing Club?

R-Honestly, every time I come boxing its great! I love the atmosphere and the "family" feel the gym has. I always feel comfortable here and get a fantastic workout!

What advice would you give someone who is just starting on their fitness journey, or interested in trying a boxing class for the first time?

R-DO IT! I promise you will not regret taking a chance on 2Tone and becoming your best self! You will be a happier person when you reach your fitness goals and 2Tone can definitely spearhead your experience.

What changes have you seen in yourself since starting at 2 Tone Boxing Club?

R-I've become a happier and stronger person mentally and physically. Another positive point , especially as a woman, you learn how to protect yourself in a inclusive environment.

Last but not least, describe 2 Tone Boxing Club in 5 words.

R-Awesome! Supportive! Diverse! Transforming! Life-changing!
