2 Months ago, a young lady named Monica took her first class at 2 Tone. She had "never punched anything" before, but showed up with an open mind, anxious to try something new, get out some aggression, and burn a ton of calories. After just 1 class, Monica was hooked.
In just a few months, we have gotten to know and love Monica as a part of our 2 Tone Family. She is always positive, showing up ready to work hard, and kick butt. Read on to hear a little bit about her experience from her perspective.
How long have you been boxing at 2 Tone?
What made you want to start at 2 Tone, and what keeps you coming back?
After long-distance running for many years, I wanted to explore a fun, safe alternative to keep up my fitness level and build muscle tone. I was hooked after my first class! The club and classes have great energy, and I see improvement in my skills each time I visit! The coaches are energetic, skilled, and show interested in every client's improvement.
What were some of your fears or concerns when you first started?
I was somewhat hesitant because I had never boxed before, and thought I might lack the coordination to keep up in class.
What has been the best experience you have had at 2 Tone Boxing Club?
I love the overall feeling of developing a new skill, and seeing that there is room for so much more improvement! I'm looking forward to seeing what my skill level will be a year from now -- after lots of additional practice!
What advice would you give someone who is just starting on their fitness journey, or interested in trying a boxing class for the first time?
Get out there and do what you are able to -- even if it is only a little bit at a time. Congratulate yourself for every workout, and every slight bit of improvement.
What changes have you seen in yourself since starting at 2 Tone Boxing Club?
I feel stronger, slimmer and even more coordinated!
